Our Team

Evan Liang
Co-founder and CEO

Evan Liang is the CEO and co-founder of LeanData, which he founded after managing a data-cleanup project at his last company and felt the pain of cleaning Salesforce data by hand. Prior to LeanData, Evan was the GM and VP Products at Caring.com, where he grew a small acquisition into the company’s main business, generating over 50% of the company’s revenue over 2 years. Before Caring.com, Evan worked at Shasta Ventures, a leading venture capital firm focused on end-user-driven businesses. Prior to Shasta, Evan worked in product management at eBay with a focus on buyer experience and, before that, in business development at Microsoft, where he helped launch the Xbox 360. Evan started his career at Battery Ventures, where he specialized in software and e-commerce investments.

Evan holds an MBA from Kellogg and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.

Kelvin Cheung
Co-founder and CTO

Kelvin is the CTO and co-founder of LeanData, where he manages the design and architecture of LeanData’s application and technology stack. Prior to founding LeanData, Kelvin was the CEO and founder of Wertago, a mobile-app development company that won Google’s Android Developer Challenge. Prior to Wertago, he held positions as a software-development manager at both Ooma and Syndeo Corporation. Kelvin started his career as a developer in the Server Technology group at Oracle.

Kelvin holds an MS in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and BS degrees in both Mathematics and Computer Science also from MIT.

Mike D’Onofrio

Mike D’Onofrio is the Chief Revenue Officer at LeanData, where he is responsible for the Go-To-Market strategy, including the new business sales effort, business development, customer success and cross sell. Mike’s extensive career includes executive roles at ADP, Cisco WebEx, Zuora and most recently Concur, where he rose to Senior Vice President for Global Small, Mid-Size and National Accounts, growing the business from less than $10 million in recurring revenue to more than $200 million.

Mike has a B.A. in Business and Marketing from California State University, Northridge.

Hendrick Lee
VP of Product

Hendrick is the VP of Product at LeanData, where he is focused on product innovation and driving customer success with LeanData’s unique solutions. Prior to LeanData, Hendrick led the web and mobile product teams at Zynga Poker, nearly doubling revenue to make Zynga Poker one of the largest and most valuable Zynga franchises. Prior to Zynga, Hendrick led Product Management efforts at PayPal, Plaxo, LoudCloud (Opsware), and Evincii. Hendrick began his career in software development at BuildPoint, an online e-commerce platform.

Hendrick holds an MS in Management Science & Engineering and a BS in Computer Science, both from Stanford University.

Brian Birkett
VP of Sales

Brian Birkett is the VP of Sales at LeanData, where he is responsible for leading the direct and channel sales efforts. Prior to LeanData, Brian led a team of Sr. enterprise sales reps responsible for LinkedIn’s largest west coast customers. Brian brings a diverse background in sales management experience spanning from startups to large public companies in both field and inside sales. His previous employers include Trubates, Yahoo!, Interwoven, and the State of California.

Brian has a B.A. in International Studies from American University.

Ashwath Kakhandiki
VP of Marketing

Ash is the VP of Marketing at LeanData, where he is focused on growing awareness and generating demand for LeanData’s industry-leading solutions. Prior to LeanData, Ash built the demand-generation function from the ground up at Saama Technologies, a leading data analytics company. Before that, he led demand generation and marketing efforts at Druva, MobileSpan (acquired by Dropbox), and Infineta (acquired by Riverbed). He began his career in software development at SAP.

Ash holds an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a BS and MS in Chemistry from the University of Pune.

Louis Ferris
VP Customer Success and Support

Louis is the Vice President of Customer Success and Support, where he responsible for driving product adoption and creating great customer experiences. His extensive career includes senior management experience at both startups and large corporations, including Cisco Systems, where he was Director of Cisco Services, Customer Success and Value Creation. Louis successfully launched Cisco Services’ first global customer success program and helped grow Cisco’s SaaS portfolio into a $1 billion-plus business.

Louis has a M.S. in Computer Engineering from Manhattan College in New York and a B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India.
