Warriors’ Kirk Lacob and Shasta Ventures’ Doug Pepper Will Headline Ops-Stars

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — LeanData, the leader in demand management for B2B organizations, is announcing that Kirk Lacob, the Assistant General Manager of the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors, and Doug Pepper, a Managing Director at early-stage venture capital firm Shasta Ventures, will be the keynote speakers at the second-annual Ops-Stars conference in San Francisco, Nov 6-9.

“We’re thrilled that Kirk and Doug will be speaking because they both know all about building dominant organizations,” said Evan Liang, the CEO at LeanData. “The Ops-Stars audience of sales and marketing operations professionals is focused on using data and technology to make their businesses more successful. We know they will be eager to hear the insights of these two proven winners.”

Ops-Stars has the theme of “Building a Winning Team” for good reason. Lacob oversees the Warriors’ use of analytics and technology in helping create the marquee franchise in sports today. The Warriors have won two of the last three NBA titles. At the 2016 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, Golden State was named the “Best Analytics Organization” in all of professional sports. Lacob’s Ops-Stars talk is about “How Analytics is the Secret Sauce for Championship Success.”

Pepper is a visionary venture capitalist who recognized early the vast potential of the digital Marketing Technology sector. In 2006, he was the first investor in marketing automation giant Marketo. Since then, Pepper has supported more than a dozen MarTech startups and leads Shasta-backed investments in companies focused all along the customer journey. Pepper will head a discussion about the growing importance of operations in “How to Build a Rocket Ship.”

The conference is being held at two great San Francisco locations: the award-winning Trou Normand restaurant and the John Colins lounge. LeanData will be joined by an impressive list of cutting-edge B2B technology co-sponsors: DataFox, G2 Crowd, SalesLoft, Chartio, FunnelWise, PFL, Akoonu and Chorus.

Ops-Stars will be for hands-on sales and marketing practitioners to learn, network and have some fun. Last year’s inaugural event drew more than 500 people. This year, an overflow crowd is expected thanks to a jam-packed agenda of speakers and panelists who are leaders in using technology, process and analytics to drive their businesses forward. The sessions are designed specifically so attendees can bring actionable tips back to their organizations so they develop winning 2018 game plans.

“B2B organizations understand that sales and marketing operations is crucial for business success,” Liang said. “We believe Ops-Stars has quickly become the premier conference for these practitioners. We have a great agenda filled with sessions that will help their businesses and boost their careers.”
